Glass Splashback Installation

A glass splashback gives your kitchen or bathroom a clean, seamless finish that is easy to maintain and built to last. Unlike tiles, there are no grout lines to stain or harbour mould. Unlike acrylic panels, glass does not discolour, warp or scratch over time.

Level and Square Glass supplies and installs custom glass splashbacks across Wollongong, Sydney and the Illawarra. Every panel is cut to your exact measurements, painted in your chosen colour and toughened to withstand the heat behind cooktops and hobs.

Where We Install Glass Splashbacks

Kitchen Splashbacks

The most popular application. We install splashbacks behind cooktops, between benchtops and overhead cabinetry, and across full kitchen walls. Glass splashbacks work with any kitchen style, from modern minimalist to traditional setups.

Bathroom Splashbacks

Glass splashbacks behind bathroom vanities provide a moisture-resistant, easy-to-clean surface. They are a practical alternative to tiles and give a modern, uncluttered look.

Laundry Splashbacks

Laundry tubs and benchtops benefit from the same protection as kitchens. A glass splashback keeps the wall behind your sink clean and prevents water damage to plasterboard.

Commercial Splashbacks

We install splashbacks in commercial kitchens, cafes, restaurants and office kitchenettes. Commercial installations often require larger panels and specific heat ratings, which our team handles as part of the site assessment.

Colour Options

One of the main advantages of a glass splashback is the ability to match any colour. We offer the following finish options:

Painted back glass is the most common choice. The back of the glass panel is painted in your selected colour, creating a smooth, glossy finish that is visible through the clear glass. We can colour match to any swatch, paint brand or Pantone reference.

Metallic finishes add a reflective, textured effect behind the glass. Popular in modern kitchens and commercial fitouts.

Printed glass allows custom images, patterns or branding to be printed directly onto the glass. This is an option for commercial clients or homeowners who want a statement feature.

Mirror finish splashbacks use mirrored glass instead of painted glass. For more on mirror options, see our mirror installation page.

Clear or low-iron glass is used when you want to display the wall behind the splashback (for example, a feature brick wall or wallpaper) while still protecting it from splashes and heat.

Glass Type and Heat Resistance

All our splashbacks are manufactured from toughened safety glass. Toughened glass is required for any splashback installed behind a gas or electric cooktop because it can withstand temperatures up to approximately 200°C without cracking.

We use 6mm toughened glass as the standard thickness for kitchen splashbacks. This provides the right balance of strength, heat resistance and visual clarity. For bathrooms and laundries where heat exposure is not a factor, 6mm toughened glass is still used for durability and safety.

Toughened glass cannot be cut or modified after the toughening process. That is why precise measurement before manufacturing is critical, and why we use our FlexiJet 3D laser system to capture exact dimensions, including any cutouts for power points, light switches or rangehood ducting.

How We Install Glass Splashbacks

1. Measure. We visit your property and measure the splashback area using our FlexiJet 3D laser. We note all cutouts needed for power points, switches and fixtures.

2. Colour selection. You choose your colour from our standard range or provide a swatch for custom matching. We confirm the finish (painted, metallic, printed, mirror or clear).

3. Manufacture. The glass is cut to your exact dimensions, cutouts are made, the colour is applied and the panel is toughened.

4. Install. We mount the splashback using structural adhesive and, where required, mechanical fixings. The panel is levelled, cleaned and inspected before we leave.
