Mirror Installation and Supply
A well-placed mirror changes the feel of a room. It adds light, creates depth and makes smaller spaces feel more open. But mirrors are heavy, fragile and unforgiving if the measurements are even slightly off. That is why mirror installation is a job for a glazier, not a handyman with a tube of silicone.
Level and Square Glass supplies and installs custom mirrors for homes and businesses across Wollongong, Sydney and the Illawarra. We cut every mirror to your exact specifications using our FlexiJet 3D laser measurement system, and our team handles the full installation, from wall preparation to final positioning.
Mirror Types We Supply and Install
Bathroom Vanity Mirrors
The most common mirror installation we handle. We supply frameless mirrors cut to fit above your vanity, with options for polished edges, bevelled edges or pencil-round edges. Every bathroom mirror is backed with moisture-resistant coating to prevent deterioration from steam and humidity.
Gym and Dance Studio Mirrors
Large format mirrors for home gyms, dance studios and fitness centres. We install full wall mirrors using secure mechanical fixings rated for the panel weight. Our vacuum lifter allows us to position large mirrors safely and accurately.
Decorative Wall Mirrors
Feature mirrors for living rooms, hallways, dining areas and commercial spaces. We cut mirrors to any shape or size, including custom geometric designs. Tinted and antiqued mirror finishes are available for a more distinctive look.
Wardrobe Sliding Mirrors
Mirrored sliding doors for built-in wardrobes. We supply the mirror panels cut to size and install them into your existing or new wardrobe tracks.
Splashback Mirrors
Mirrored splashbacks are a popular option for kitchens and bathrooms where a reflective finish is preferred over painted glass. For colour-backed options, see our glass splashbacks page.
Custom Cut Mirrors
Every mirror we supply is cut to your exact measurements. There is no reliance on off-the-shelf sizes that need trimming or leave gaps. We offer the following edge finishes:
Polished edges provide a clean, smooth finish suitable for frameless installations where the edge is visible.
Bevelled edges add a subtle angled border around the mirror, giving it a more refined, finished appearance.
Pencil-round edges are slightly rounded for a softer look and are commonly used on bathroom mirrors.
If your mirror needs to work around power points, light fittings, towel rails or other fixtures, we template the cutouts during our site visit so the finished mirror fits perfectly.
Why Choose Level and Square Glass for Mirrors
We are licensed glaziers and members of AGGWA. Mirror installation is part of our broader custom glass solutions offering, which means we bring the same precision tools, safety standards and workmanship to a bathroom vanity mirror as we do to a full commercial glass installation.
If your project also involves shower screens or other bathroom glass, we can handle everything in a single visit.
For large or heavy mirrors (gym walls, full-height panels), we always use mechanical fixings regardless of the wall type. Our team assesses the wall during the site visit and confirms the safest installation method.
Frequently Asked Questions
How heavy is a custom mirror? Mirror weight depends on the size and thickness. A standard 4mm mirror weighs approximately 10kg per square metre. A 6mm mirror weighs approximately 15kg per square metre. We confirm the weight and appropriate mounting method during the site visit.
Will bathroom steam damage my mirror? All our bathroom mirrors are backed with a moisture-resistant coating that protects against steam and humidity. This prevents the black spots and edge deterioration that occur on unprotected mirrors over time.
How long does mirror installation take? Most single mirror installations are completed within an hour on site. Larger projects (gym walls, multiple rooms) may take half a day or more depending on the scope.
Can you install a mirror over existing tiles? Yes. We can mount mirrors directly over tiled walls using adhesive or mechanical fixings, depending on the tile type and wall structure behind them.
What sizes can you cut? We cut mirrors to any size. There is no minimum or maximum, though very large single panels may need to be split into sections for safe transport and handling. We will advise if this applies to your project.
How much does mirror installation cost? Pricing depends on the mirror size, thickness, edge finish and mounting method. Get a mirror installation quote by calling us or filling out our online form.
